Every ten years, the people at Cern in Switzerland turn on the big machine (particle accelerator) and shoot atoms at each other to figure out more clues about the universe in which we live. Having lived there, I can tell you this thing is big and actually runs underground through Switzerland and France. Yeah, big!
It has been widely known that this process actually opens small black holes in the atmosphere which they are unable to close. But still, don’t black holes get bigger by swallowing up things around them?
For more on the story, check out this blog and corresponding links.
I hope my friends living near the site in Switzerland and France are ok. The again, if they be swallowed up, who’ll know?
Have a great Friday!
