R-I-D-I-C-U-L-O-U-S Team Building

Last night I did a pretty ridiculous thing as far as team building goes. And yes Darryl, I am expecting you to comment on this. I went with our team from SPU to a free concert. FREE.

Now free can be good, or it can be bad. As a experience it was great for team life. We laughed, some of us sang, all of us danced, and inevitably, most left shocked that the lead act played merely six songs and that Chris, the other guy in the group, knew them all.

Who you might be asking was this free concert in honor of an American movie day in Brussels? Who was it? Avril Lavigne.

All in all, it was good fun. Here's a sign from a couple of guys who were very excited about the show, and one of the many photos I have of Avril. I was thinking of trying to sell them to a teenie magazine. Any one have any contacts?

Avril You Suck

Avril 1

So how about you? What is the most ridiculous thing you've ever done to build team or community? Can you top a free Avril Lavigne concert?

have a great day!!

Hey Hey Yeah Yeah something something Girlfriend...

Also, she's Canadian, so pretty fitting for an American movie event.

Or, as Homer Simpson once put it, “America Jr.”

Back off with that America Jr stuff, man. I mean, if you guys just got maps that showed the WHOLE STINKING CONTINENT you'd know that we're more than a 1/2" pink strip across the top to keep the snow out!

I'll admit here, though, that I almost bought a ticket to see her in Locarno at the Moon and Stars festival, but it was yesterday and it turns out that I was really sick and also welcoming our old friend David Taylor back to Geneva. Perhaps it all worked out for the best. I am going to see Pink here tomorrow night. It's not free, but I bet she'll do more than six songs. Now I just need to find one of those "You suck" signs...
