If you are interested in having Joshua speak to your group, please contact joshuacase (at) mac (dot) com. Joshua loves to share stories about his justice-centered work on behalf of the often unseen and marginalized (particularly children) and all matters related to the use technology for the common good.
As Joshua’s work is first and foremost rooted in his experience as a priest at Holy Innocents in Atlanta, and thus, his schedule is limited. If you would like to have Joshua speak to your group, work your team, or design/curate an experience, please consider one of the following ways:
1. In-Person Appearances
Preference will be given to creatives, justice-oriented community activists and Episcopal/Anglican adult and/or youth groups. Please note: Joshua plans to only accept one international trip per year. Bookings for 2017 are open.
2. Virtual Appearances
Instead of having Joshua travel to speak with your group, you can have him address your group via interactive video conferencing. By using WEBx, Skype or another free or inexpensive online service, Joshua can deliver a talk with visuals, and he can take questions and respond to comments as well. This arrangement saves money (air travel, hotels, etc.), reduces environmental impact, and, when combined with group interaction of any size, can provide a very effective educational/formative experience. Equipment needed: high speed internet, computer with video capabilities, video projector with sound.
3. Curation and Coaching (In-person & Virtual)
Since 2003 Joshua has worked alongside creatives from various sectors of society to curate and produce events that are consistently transformative and engaging in texture. These events have included weekly worship experiences (Shema – Geneva), place-based conferences/events (Priest, Prophets, Theologians – Geneva 2006; Youth Theological Initiative 2009-2010), Service-learning experiences (Service Projects 2003-2008 – Poland, Czeck Republic, Kosovo; ATLServe – Atlanta 2015-16) and creative pop-up experiences (Flash Requiem – Atlanta 2009; tnevda– Atlanta 2010; Run, Bike, Pray – HIEC Atlanta 2012). Joshua is available to work alongside teams of artists, community activists and clergy + worship leaders to design, curate and produce events – all for the sake of plotting goodness!
You can inquire about inviting Joshua to speak to your group using the above email. When you contact, please include the following:
1. Proposed dates
2. Projected size and make-up of group (creatives, justice-oriented community activists, Episcopal/Anglican adult and/or youth groups etc.)
3. Are you interested in an in-person or video-conference or curation option?
4. What topic(s) would you like him to address?
Thank you for your interest. Joshua looks forward to plotting goodness along side you and others!
